In this exclusive interview, we’re catching up with Ashely Paul as she unveil the secrets behind her latest release, “Bingo Baby”.

We had an exclusive talk with Ashley, to discover more about this release.
1. Hi Ashley, how are you today and which country are you right now?
Hey there, thank you for having me! I’m currently in the USA and in LA actually working in the studio on my newest track “Blindfolded “… I’m really excited about it and it will be out by summer.
2. Can you tell us about your upcoming release “Bingo Baby”? What inspired the track and what can listeners expect from it?
Bingo Baby was a special collaboration from start to finish. The chemistry between myself, Ritchie Neville, and Liam Keegan was magical from the moment we met in Liverpool. Inspired by a story Ritchie shared about Bingo Bongo club, the phrase “Bingo Baby” sparked the song’s creation. With a sense of female empowerment and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, we crafted a dance track that celebrates equality. After finishing the initial part of the track, we collaborated with the renowned remixer Luv Foundation UK, who elevated the song to new heights. With its 90s nostalgia-meets-EDM vibe, Bingo Baby became an uplifting summer anthem. In Los Angeles, I recorded the vocals with the talented Jackie’s Boy, known for his work with artists like Madonna and Justin Bieber.
3. How does “Bingo Baby” fit into your overall style and musical journey as an Artist?
Bingo Baby was such an amazing artistic journey for me. As a Dance music, singer/songwriter, who thrives on continuous collaborations with different writers on almost every track, this was distinctly in my wheelhouse. Every track has a unique flavor yet still a similar feel, I like to think that’s my little dash of Ash Paul pixie dust!
What I was so excited by was the chemistry here and that translates into my vocal message. It was so raw, honest and sexual. Very intense vibrato and no one held me back. It was the first time I had ever expressed myself, in my sexuality through my vocals and at first i was a little apprehensive.
However when I went to the passion place that I wrote the track from, it was so easy to sing my heart out. It’s a style I really vibed with and we may see this a few more going forward.
4. “Bingo Baby” recently hit #1 on Amazon Music’s Movers and Shakers chart. What’s the feeling of having your track as number 1?
Hitting #1 on the Amazon Movers and Shakers Chart was astoundingly inspiring, and just incredible beyond! I woke up on March 3rd to a call from my label telling me to peek at the Amazon music Movers and Shakers Chart and I saw Bingo Baby #1! It was undeniably one of the most gratifying moments of acknowledgment in my career to date. I also felt such pride for my work and the ability to be able to actually get my music out there. It was an amazing day and I feel so incredibly grateful to all the people on my team.
5. What is your favourite social media platform for connecting with your fans?
I lately have been really into TikTok. It seems as if there are so many people connecting with me that have not done so prior. I share a video or a new track and I have a lot more viewers than ever.
It’s exciting to know someone might be listening to bingo in another country! The fact that “Bingo Baby” is being played in France, UK, Spain, Italy and the USA is mind blowing! It shows us that while social media has its issues… basically it’s how we connect together as a whole on this planet lately. Like never before can interact and share triumphs and experiences. Good and sad, as a whole. Music is the language we all share and to be able to facilitate it through socials is really a gift.
6. How do you think the role of technology has evolved in shaping the music industry, and how has it influenced your own creative process?
I believe in moving forward, staying current with trends, and exploring new creative avenues. However, I’m cautious about using AI for vocals; I lean towards a purist approach. While some find it effective, I prefer to record and refine lines meticulously, prioritizing authenticity over perfection. In live performances, mistakes are overshadowed by the energy and connection with the audience. Vocal perfection isn’t paramount; it’s about conveying love and authenticity. Yet, on radio, I strive for flawless delivery, repeating lines until they’re seamless for listeners. Singing is my constant expression, whether at a diner or on a bus, embodying my authentic self. While I respect others’ choices, AI vocal manipulation isn’t for me; I strive to remain true to myself in my craft.
7. Are there any artists you dream of collaborating with in the future?
Yes I have always wanted to collaborate with Elton John. He is the ultimate rock star writer singer performer and humanitarian. I have always wanted to co-write and perform a song with him on stage. I actually had a dream about a new track called “Purple Buttons“ I wrote it with him in my sleep. I am saving that hook for him if he calls me one day! I never say never.
8. Beyond music, what else do you like to do?
In day to day, I find my imagination is my greatest tool towards creativity and peace for my heart. I fuel my spirit with the laughter and love that I experience spending time with my young son. With him, we are making memories together. He is my ultimate inspiration. We watch foreign and spyfull films, cook and discuss world topics.. I should really say, I listen to his amazing young mind explain international, political and social idealism. His music of choice ranges from HipHop to EDM.
9. What advice would you give to aspiring young artists looking to make their mark in the industry?
I would hold the hand of an aspiring artist and say into their eyes – you can do this, you are so talented and never give up! Believe in your music, never stop creating, writing, performing.
Take any job you are offered even if it’s not paying. Dont listen to negative people. They don’t know what’s in your heart. You can create and manifest your own vision. Sometimes you may want to quit, but please don’t! Be smart and stay ahead of the curve, work everyday in some way grand or small towards your goal. Music is for all of us, it’s a language of inclusion, and that means with hard work and relentless dedication. You can do it!
10. Lastly, what’s next for Ashley Paul after “Bingo Baby”? Any exciting news you can share with us?
I am so excited to share I have a new track out early summer called ”Blindfolded“. I co-wrote this new Dance track with Luv Foundation Uk and Gerina Di Marco (she’s a BMI award winning song writer). It’s a very uplifting nostalgic soulful EDM dance track.. Some of my inspiration on this track stems from so many places. Independence, insatiability, intrigue of the unknown. It’s endless! Following that I am now in preparation for a summer tour of musical performances in the UK Festivals and small venues as well. I will be preforming Bingo Baby and Blindfolded! In addition to my hit from 2023, “Love Light Me Up”. While I am over there I will be writing a new track with Ritchie Neville as we feel we have another song between us.. it could be a dance duet!! I have always wanted to write and perform a Donna summer style dance track.
